Following the death of Eileen's mother in 1994, John and Eileen decided to move to Ipswich to be near their two sons who worked in the area. They left the house that they had been in for 37 years and arrived in Martlesham Heath in 1995.

Following the death of Eileen's mother in 1994, John and Eileen decided to move to Ipswich to be near their two sons who worked in the area. They left the house that they had been in for 37 years and arrived in Martlesham Heath in 1995. They enjoyed a social life in Martlesham Heath and were keen members of the Martlesham Village Produce Association.
