i met Mr Wilmot , as I called him at work , when I joined him as his assistant at Wolverhampton . We worked for Trading Standards .

i found John to be an immensely knowledgeable and supportive individual who cared passionately about the job and those he worked with .

it was largely due to Johns encouragement that i managed to qualify .

He was a lovely man who will be much missed
